| Feis committee still in negotiations with Derry City Council | Tuesday 15th December 2009 |
| The Feis committee are still in negotiations with Derry City Council in order to return to the Guildhall. The Committee are hoping that fees requested of £90 per hour can be revised and a compromise reached. |

| Irish Verse / An Teanga section of 2010 syllabus revised | Tuesday 15th December 2009 |
| The An Teanga section of the 2010 syllabus has been revised to include Comhra in different age groups and Oraid/Caint for year 14 pupils. The Feis has also agreed to sponsor a bursary for the school making the best contribution to the Irish section |

| Modern Dance section added to the 2010 syllabus | Tuesday 15th December 2009 |
| A new section has been added to the 2010 syllabus for modern dance competitions. Competitors will be asked to perform a five minute programme in either slow dance, hip hop or freestyle see competitions 801 - 806 |

We have just launched our new website in time for the 2006 Derry Feis. The website will give you all the information on the Feis for this year and the coming years and we have some exciting plans for the future.
