Cead Míle Fáilte gó Féis Dhoíre Cholmcílle

Since 1922, Féis Dhoíre Cholmcílle has welcomed thousands of young people and adults through its doors, and in turn sent many of these out into the world with added confidence and expertise. It has served its patrons well and continues to do so. A warm welcome has always characterised the Derry Féis. This website provides a further means of access to the Féis and opens the door to its world of culture and joy to thousands more. The Féis currently attracts interest from more and more people overseas to whom this website will prove invaluable by way of information and scheduling each year. But for the Féis diaspora, dispersed as they are across the entire globe, this website will remind them of past triumphs and struggles during many an Easter week, and bring them consolation in the knowledge that the Féis continues faithfully each year.

Memories are important for they provide the seed-bed from which enthusiasm and hope spring.

While the website is a great means of communication, its virtual tour of the competitions, venues and names can never compare to experiencing the Féis in person. In just the same way that you are warmly welcomed to view this website, be assured that you’ll receive an equally warm welcome in any of the venues, day or night. Who knows, we might see you there.
